Martin's Best Dressed Sinatra
#153282 A
42" 2004 White Shetland Stallion

Martin's Best Dressed Sinatra (HOF), widely known as Frank - the White Horse, is the 2008 Classic Performance Pony of the Year, 2007 Congress Reserve Grand Champion Classic Stallion Under, and the 2008 Congress Stakes Champion Classic Pleasure Driving Under.  He has won several other Congress titles in Classic Halter and Classic Pleasure Driving as well.

Since we often get many questions regarding Frank's coloring, here is a summary of what we know.  Frank is a maximum expression sabino which gives him his white coloring.  His blue eyes come from the splash gene.  His genetically tested color results are shown below:

E/e
= heterozygous for the black "E" and red factor "e" gene. (Not homozygous for Black) Expected to pass with a 50% proability either "E" or "e" to each foal.
a/
a = two copies of the recessive non-agouti "a"; this allele does not restrict the black hair in EE or Ee horses, and the base color is black; no visible color effect in an "e/e"(red based) horse
z/z =
no evidence for carrying Silver Dilution "Z". Only the normal, non-diluting version (z) of this gene detected.
SB1/sb
1 = carries one Sabino-1 allele (SB1).  Expected to pass SB1 to 50% of the offspring.  The 50% will receive the normal, non-spotting allele (sb1) of this gene.
Note: There is a small risk that our farm will be relocated in 2010
